The Shadow Beneath

Remaining still in the shallows and the weeds, a pike can appear to be nothing more than a shadow, until it suddenly bursts into life, to take fish, frogs, or unfortunate ducklings swimming over its head. It will even eat smaller pike when food is scarce.
